Our mission is to create a school community that inspires children to realize their full potential, while providing a safe and nurturing school environment. To empower teachers and parents to build deeper and m ore meaningful relationships with their children. To innovate educational resources and materials that are accessible by all: affordable, friendly to our environment and creatively connected with diverse cultural needs. To offer a platform that connects educators in all corners of the world, both formal and informal, and allows them to express their ideas, develop professionally and share knowledge. Lastly, to establish a culture of innovation and reflective observation to help us better see, know and nurture the hearts and minds of children.
We provide a safe, nurturing environment where children learn, grow and thrive. Our Links to Learning curriculum prepares children for elementary school and beyond by developing important academic, social and emotional skills. Our teachers help each child discover a fascinating world of learning and play.
Pinnacle utilizes the research-based and award-winning curriculum, Experience Early Learning Program by Mother Goose. Our program supports the growth of children across all areas of development, including social-emotional, motor, and cognitive.
In our preschool program your child will learn through centers and dramatic play while recognizing letters, letter sounds, adding two groups of concrete objects and will understand the concept of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Our program is well-rounded and includes Physical Fitness.
Pinnacle’s PreK provides a perfect balance of learning and play. We follow Experience Early Learning Curriculum by Mother Goose along with Pinnacle’s PreK Advanced Learning Program. Adding to the skills learned in our top-rated pre-school program, our pre-kindergarten program prepares PA students for kindergarten by teaching foundational literary and math skills. Building upon the foundation blocks in pre-school our students learn letter-sound relationships, sight word recognition, and basic mathematical functions. With continued skills development in the arts and creative expression, and character education, our students are nurtured with important skills such as listening, understanding feelings, and resolving conflicts.
In addition to following general COVID-19 guidelines for the whole school, our early childhood program takes extra health and safety measures listed below:
We are closely following guidance from the CDC, as well as state and local officials and health authorities, as we take extreme care to maintain our safe, healthy school environment
Face coverings are required for any adult entering the building (all staff members wear them when working with children). Where required by law or licensing, children must also wear masks.
We screen temperatures of staff and children and anyone with a temperature of at least 100.4 degrees or showing other signs of illness is not permitted to enter the facility. If a child becomes ill during the day, they will stay in a separate area while awaiting pickup.
Meal safety varies by state and may involve serving individual portions instead of family style or requiring that food be brought from home.
We’ve strengthened our already rigorous cleanliness and hygiene practices (such as more frequent hand washing, and increased cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting of surfaces and items in classrooms, wearing disposable gloves for serving food).
Where applicable, during preschool nap times, mats are placed head to toe, not face to face. Each child’s bedding is stored separately and sent home for washing periodically.
Staff members are the only adults permitted to enter the building. Pick up and drop off take place outside the facility. Seating areas are spaced a minimum of 6 feet apart and swimming and field trips are suspended.
During the current COVID-19 crisis, some parents may be reluctant to send their littlest ones back to school (or to school for the first time). We are therefore pleased to be able to offer our Links to Learning early childhood curriculum in a virtual form through our Links to Learning Online Academy for children in Beginner – Pre-Kindergarten (approximately ages 3 to 4). This program will combine online instruction with correlated offline activities to keep children engaged and on-track to continue their educational and social-emotional development.
